Biography:

Molly grew up in a rural town 2 hours east of Los Angeles. She moved away when she was 14, and lived in various other parts of Southern California. Molly moved to Humboldt County in 2014 to attend HSU and graduated with a B.A. in Sociology in 2016. That summer, she lived in The Netherlands for a study abroad program where she studied the Dutch criminal justice system. The program explored how the Dutch handle social deviance and other social issues such as homelessness, prison reform, restorative justice, sex work, drug use/abuse, mental health and immigration. She then joined HSU's Public Sociology Master's program, where she graduated in 2018. Some areas of interest she wants to explore are religion, mental illness, drug use and abuse, deviance, gender, race, sexuality, music festivals, subcultures, and the supernatural. Molly would like to teach in a college classroom someday and teach courses based on her interests. She started working at CCRP as a student research assistant and now works as a research analyst and office manager. Some day, she would like to pursue a PhD and teach at the college level.
