We're excited to share a series of powerful stories that put a human face on the Redwood Region. Through in-depth community interviews across Tribal Lands, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, and Mendocino Counties, we've tried to capture the diverse experiences and perspectives of individuals representing our priority communities and key sectors/industries. These stories feature community members working and/or engaging in areas like Arts, Culture, and Tourism; Health & Caregiving; Renewable & Resilient Energy; and Working Lands & Blue Economy. By elevating these voices, we aim to provide a deeper, more nuanced understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing our region.
This "Humans of the Redwoods" series is more than just a collection of narratives - it's a tool for fostering deeper connections, humanizing the data we've gathered, and advocating for economic development initiatives that address the specific needs and strengths of our communities. We will be sharing these stories here on our website, our LinkedIn account, with partners, and in our Regional Roadmap - our 10-year vision for the Redwood Region. Scroll down to join us in celebrating the resilience, innovation, and spirit of the people who call this remarkable place home.
