Receive Equity & Project Technical Assistance for Your Project Proposal

Advance Early-Stage Project Proposals

Redwood Region RISE's Equity and Project Development Expert, Ursula Bischoff, is available to provide technical assistance (TA) to project initiators to move early-stage proposals through the project development process, center RRRISE values in your project design, and better connect you with resources available within and outside of the Redwood Region RISE Collaborative. Ursula has worked with the RRRISE convening team on several project deliverables since its inception. You can learn more about Ursula here.

Scheduling Guidelines

To ensure project initiators are able to make the most of this resource, please follow these guidelines:

  • Project initiators can book a maximum of one 1-hour appointment per week through September 27.
  • If separate projects would like to arrange a group session, one initiator should serve as lead to coordinate and schedule the appointment. It may be possible for groups to schedule a longer appointment – please note this in your booking request.
  • When scheduling an appointment, please provide information about the kind of support you wish to receive.
  • Before your meeting, please provide any information that can help prepare – including an updated project description (if this has changed since entering the Project Inventory), any links or materials (e.g., websites, data, etc.), and questions. Please allow for review time before the appointment.
  • Project teams are encouraged to attend.
  • The schedule is subject to change based on demand.

Before Your Appointment

It will be helpful for your team to review the RRRISE Project resources on this page.

What to Expect

Your first meeting will begin with a brief review of your project and request for support, address immediate concerns/questions, and will end with a plan of action for follow-ups, as needed.

Technical Assistance May Help You/Your Partners Explore:

  • The extent to which and how the project has envisioned/planned essential elements (e.g., statement of need, project concept, project design, implementation strategies, work plan milestones, risk mitigation analysis and plans, projected outcomes and budget).
  • How project elements are aligned with California Jobs First objectives/requirements, RRRISE sector strategies/Regional Roadmap research, and other relevant resources (e.g., best practices).
  • Plans to address equity/center priority communities through all phases of the project.
  • Identified (potential or anticipated) funding sources.
  • Grant preparation and award requirements – from the California Jobs First grant program and/or other funding sources.
